Global warming has its upside. Take yesterday, for instance. I worked coatless in the garden clearing out the annuals and cutting back the perennials…and, yes, they are already growing again. Poking around at the base of the perennials is one of my life’s annual pleasures…realizing the flowers don’t stop just because I can’t see what they’re up to. I hate the thought of them being snow covered again, though. I am just not up for a long winter. But, here it is, almost January, and so much of the lousy weather I dread is already behind me.
The garden is now ready for your many visits to our Adarondack chairs. And Karen Heyl swears she will sculpt us some stone benches.
